This Dublin home required an open plan kitchen design and living space that complemented the contemporary extension they had recently added to their mid-century home. Terry created a kitchen that was functional, maximised storage and provided a social space for the family to cook and spend time together. The clients love food and architecture, so the space needed to be functional yet minimal. Handleless drawers and cupboards create a modern aesthetic. The long monochromatic island is punctured with stainless steel and oak shelving for cookbooks. Using a simple palette of brushed stainless steel, LG HI-Mac and character oak, we created a warm family environment with industrial vibes. The same finishes have been applied to the bespoke joinery in the adjacent living space, providing continuity throughout the ground floor.
